Originally designed and manufactured in Queens, New York, Andrew Benditt was quickly shipped to Japan with his parental units for three years.  He and his family returned to the United States afterward, to travel through the greater New Jersey area until finally settling in the township of Summit.

Andrew spent the next decade and a half residing in Summit, attending grade school and weekend Japanese school all throughout the years.  It was at this Japanese school that he was exposed to his first comic compilation book—and was instantly hooked.  Taking a particular interest in the Sci-Fi stories featured in these compilations, Andrew began his future in art.

Toward the end of Andrew’s stay at High School, he felt the need to further explore his horizons and seeked a college that would accommodate his desires.  Unaware of the existence of art schools, he first toured the East Coast and visited various run-of-the-mill institutions, none of them catching Andrew’s eye.  He then found out about the Art Institute of Philadelphia, and knew then what kind of school his destiny picked for him.

Andrew’s destiny would not place him at the Art Institute, however; while attending the open-house session at that school, he met another aspiring artist that informed him of the existence of the Savannah College of Art and Design—and more importantly, the Sequential Art program the school offered.

Andrew is now coming up on  the final months before his graduation at SCAD.
